Edith Jewell GrubbsEdith Jewell Grubbs, 75, of huntington, formerly of Barboursville, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 25, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical center.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2006, 2:00P.M. at Barboursville Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Coster, Burial will follow in Forest Lawn memorial Park, Huntington. She was born July 11, 1930, louisa, ky. a daughter of the late Emily Moore Pauley Watts, and the late Leo Pauley. She was preceded by her Husband Charles H. Grubbs in 1975, infant Son Christopher Grubbs and one brother Alford Pauley. Survivors include (3) daughters- Pamela Dunfee, Rebecca Brick, Angela Grubbs King, Sons, Luther Grubbs, Charles H. Grubbs Jr.Sisters- Corinne Wright, Almalean Rowley, Geraldine McKenzie, Phyllis Walker, Brother Kenny Watts, MeMaw" will be missed by her many grandkis and greatgrandkids.She was a proud Kentucky girl, a member ?supporter of Ladies Auxillary VFW Post #9738 of Guyandotte, member of Barboursville Baptist Church, She looked forward to the first Saturday in May everyyear for the running of the horses the Kentucky Derby, a special day she enjoyed with her family and friends at the VFW. Special thanks to staff of St. Mary's Medical center, Visitation will be Tuesday March 28, 2006, form 6-9P.M. at henson Mortuary and 1 hours before services on Wednesday at the church. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I have vivid memories of her when we were kids. She was a very beautiful and loving lady. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.
