JOSEPHINE JENKINS ADAMS, 84, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away, Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at her residence. She was born on February 10, 1922, the daughter of the late Mountiville Monroe and Jeanette Bias Jenkins. She was born in Cabell County, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Adams, in 1975. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Geneva Cooper, Daphena Cooper Holley, Opal Ashworth, Lucille Mills Hawkins, Geraldine Peyton, and Eva Meadows. She was also preceded by five brothers, Bill, Paul, Malcolm, Ford, and Forrest Jenkins. She is survived by two Sisters-in-laws, Ruth Blake Jenkins, and Ima Johnson and one Nephew, who she raised as a son, Joe Meadows of Milton, WV. She was employed by Owens-Illinois Glass in Huntington. She was a Member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Furnal Services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville with visitations on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Mortuary.
