I am the daughter of Floyd and Frankie Adams. Father passed away now two years and Mother is now 78 years old. Mother remembered Doris when I told her she had passed away. My Mother has Alzheimers and lives here with me in Fort Worth Texas. I remember Mrs. Kieffer many years ago as a teenager growing up at Bates. I'm pretty sure my Mother and Doris were in many Bible groups and committees together. That was such a wonderful time back then. I remember Mrs. Kieffer as such a sweet lady with a bright outlook about life. She is now with my Father up in Heaven. I just wanted to give you Mr. Kieffer and your family my prayer and I will be thinking of you all.

To Joe and the rest of the family: I'm praying for you and thinking about you so much right now. I'm sorry that I can't be there, but I'm with you in heart, soul, and prayer, and I always will be.
Doris was like a grandmother to me - she was such an incredibly kind person who touched a lot of lives, mine included. I'm going to miss her so much, and I can't wait to see her again one day in Heaven. If anybody needs anything, e-mail me, call me, get in touch with me however is necessary. I love you all very much, and I'm always thinking about you and praying for you - Brittany

To the family of Mrs. Keiffer, My prayers and condolences to you. I came across Mrs. Keiffer's obituary today and noticed she was a Spears. My Great-Grandmother, Linnie Spears was her first cousin. Her mother Dicey and General were brother & sister. Again, I am sorry for your loss and I am also writing to let anyone know that I have a photo of my great-grandmother Dicey with her brothers and sisters. I can only identify her and one other sister named Charity. Perhaps Mrs. Keiffer's father is in the picture and also her Aunt Dora. If anyone reading this and would like a copy, please feel free to email me and I can send one via email to you.
My thoughts and Prayers,
Jody Ferrell

Joe: I have known you for more than 11 years and you and Doris have accepted me into your family from the minute we met. I am truly lucky to be married to your grand-daughter. If I never met her then I would never had the chance to have Doris in my life. I will miss her warm smile and the love that she showed to me. She will forever hold a dear place in my heart and her memory will never be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with you and please know, Joe, that I am always here for you. I love you both.

Joe, Carmon, and Family;
My heart goes out to you in the loss of Doris. She was such a special lady: full of love and humor. I think it was that humor, mingled with her faith I always admired most. Though sad about her loss, I will always remember her with a smile. She was a wonderful friend; a comfort and an inspiration to us all. Though my ministry here in New Orleans will not allow me to be with you to celebrate her life and mourn her passing, you all remain in my heart and prayers.
With much love,
Rev. Thomas Lilly
