Mrs. Berry,
We are members of HHS Classes of '63 and '64. Mr. Berry was by far one of the nicest and fairest teachers we had at HHS! He left a wonderful impression on us as students! We send our condolences to you. We know he was such a wonderful guy and will be missed by many.

Karen,
I first met Bob in the late 50's-early 60's. At that time I owned a gas station on the corner of tenth Ave and Twentieth St. and he lived on 21st St. He was my customer and became my friend. He got me started drinking coffee. He would bring me hot coffee on those cold nights and we would talk about things like transitor thechnology that was brand new back then. This was years before I became a teacher and worked with you both at HHS, I still think of my years there as the best of my teaching career.

Dear Mrs. Berry, I was in Mr. Berry's biology class '63-64. I was so proud of my B average. My biology classes at Marshall were merely a review of his class. I just retired after teaching Science for 32 of 33 years. I called your husband about 5 years ago to tell him that and I found myself repeating, "I asked you first" to my students. I thanked him for inspiring me. What I learned in his class gave me the confidence to say yes when asked if I could teach Life Science in a middle school in San Antonio 33 years ago. I am so glad I called.

Nearly 40 years later and I remember you well. Yes, your class was hard and you demanded a lot but for this I thank you. Outside your class you smiled and said hi, showing yet another side. Usually you were hand in hand with your lovely bride. Thanks for the memories. I'm sure you are playing cloud to cloud, on in regulation of course!
Say hello to my Dad. He was a top turret gunner in a B-24. I'm sure you two can share many stories. :)

Dear Mrs. Berry, Approximately 42 years ago I had you for Spanish and Mr. Berry for biology at Huntington High School. You were both single at the time. My friend, Brenda Bailey, and I thought that you and Mr. Berry would make a great couple so we arranged a picnic in the park and invited both of you to attend. I don't know if we were instumental in getting you two together or not, but Brenda and I always liked to think that we were. I have very fond memories of both you and Mr. Berry. It saddens me to think that he is gone. Linda Rumbaugh LeMaster. P.S. I am a Spanish teacher now...thanks in part to you.
