 GENE EDWARD SWAIN, 78, of Ona, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Hospice House, Funeral Service will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at HENSON MORTUARY, with the Rev. Paul Ray Farley officiating. Burial will be at Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born January 18, 1928, in Huntington , to the late John and Lillian Gibson Swain. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. Lillibridge Swain; a son and daughter-in-law Randy and Joyce Swain of Ceredo, two daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie and Jim Trader of Ona, Tammie and Phillp Distel of Louisa, KY; brothers and sister-in-law Larry and Jean Swain of Atlanta, GA, and Jimmy Swain of Spokane, WA; sisters and brothers-in-law Ritha and Robert Allen of Huntington, Sue and David Hodgson of Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law Jane Swain Marron of South Point, OH; eight grandchildren Heather and Bryan Barnett, Robert Wilson Jr. and Angie, Joseph and LaDessa Swain, Matthew Swain, Ian Harris, Hunter Smith, Jackie Trader, Joseph and Angie Trader; ten great-grandchildren Cory, Mikey, Tarra, Hallie, Tyler, Todd, Chase, Cody, Kirkland, and Lindsey; many nieces and nephews. Gene was a retired machinist of 34 years at Huntington Alloys, a 28 year veteran of the Un ited States Navy, a member of the American Legion Post #16, Huntington, and a member of the Wednesday Senior Bowling League at Colonial Lanes. Randy, Really sorry about your Dad. Losing my Dad was really tough. I see in another e-mail that you have the promise of tomorrow. God has given us a wonderful promise to cling to. May he bless and keep you through this. Remembering Ona Junior High and a good friend.

Randy, I am sorry about the loss of your dad. I know how close you were to him. You have so many wonderful memories that will comfort you in the dark hours. But if God is gracious, and we know He is, you will see him again someday.Love and prayers , your sister in law, sheri.
