BEATRICE CAROLINE POLLITT GULLY MATTHEWS, 88 of Huntington, passed away, Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington. She was born, November 13, 1919 in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late, Florence E. Gully and Harry D. Pollitt. She graduated from Charleston High School and the School of Commerce in Charlestn, WV. She was an active member of the Farmdale Church of Christ in Barboursville, WV, for over 40 years. Beatrice w3as known to all to be a loving wife, mother and faithful servant of the Lord. In addition to her jparents, Beatrice was preceded in death by two brother, Howard Pollitt and Jim Pollitt, and his wife, JoAnn, and a sister, Mary Margaret Fischer, and her husband John. She married to Glen Matthews for 59 years. She is survived by her children, Glen William Matthews of Huntington, Cindy Johnson and her husband Roy, of Milton, WV, and Anita Wood and her husband, David, of Waynesboro, VA; four grandchildren, James Johnson of Barboursville, WV, Kara Johnson of Milton, WV, and John and Michael Wood of Waynesboro, VA; two great-grandchildren, Madison Johnsom of Huntington and Ethan Johnson of Barboursville. Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 13, 2007, 1:00 PM at HENSON MORTUARY. Visitation will be from 11:00am - 1:00PM at the mortuary. Officiating will be Minister Danny Evans. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Farmdale Church of Christ, 6476 Farmdale Rd., Barboursville, WV., 25504.
