PHYLLIS TYREE WILLIAMS, 98, of Huntington, died Monday, January 29, 2007, in the Heritage Center, Huntington.
She was born October 6, 1908 at McDonald WV. a daughter of the late M.M. and Anise Tyree. In addition to her parents, her husband John R. Williams preceded her in death as well sisters, Helen Wiswell and Thelma Jefferson and brothers Dennis and Bill Tyree. Survivors include a daughter Pat Hillman, granddaughter Lisa Szymkowski and a great grandson Derek Szymkowski, all of Hopewell PA. She is also survived by a brother, Jack M. Tyree of Louisville KY, a niece, Helen Anders of Austin TX and nephew, Milton M. Tyree of Louisville. She was a 1929 graduate of Huntington High School and a 1931 graduate of Marshall University (then Marshall College)> She will be missed greatly by two very special friends, Tom and Betty Walden. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be Noon, Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Woodmere Memorial Park Mausoalieum, Huntington. Paul Jordan will be officiating the service. HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOUIRSVILLE, is in charge of the arraigments. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/henson
