ODETTA DENT, 79, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Hospice House of Hunting. Funeral service will be 2p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2007, at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA, by Elders Frank Baldridge and Glenn Lilly of Primitive Baptist Church, Cannonsburg, KY. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane, WV. She was born July 4, 1927, in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Alfonzo and Gracie Bailey Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wilkie L. Dent, in 2004; her youngest son, James M. Dent; and brothers and sisters, Myrtle McCane, Ethyl Hatfield, Laura Gladys Light, Willa Perry, Helen Perry, Lura (Lou) Hitchings, Augrey Alfred (Peg) Perry, Fonso Perry and Pauline Emma Perry. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard L. and Karla Dent of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Mark H. McCane of Phoenix, AZ, Melissa S. Qualls of Warren, MI, Heather E. dent, Timothy L. Dent, Rebecca L. Dent and Paul S. Dent, all of Mesa, Ariz, Tricia Dent of Ashland, KY, and Amber (Swayne) Setty of Huntington, WV; great grandchildren Michael Dent, Sheridan and John Setty and Hailie McCane; sister Luella Sparks of Lexington, KY; brother Bill Perry of Teays Valley, WV; and loving sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Edwards of Wilder, KY, and Jetta Blake of Portland, MI.
