1928 - 2003

MR. GLEN E. BOYD, 74, beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a son of the late Dock and Iva Newman Boyd. He was preceded by two brothers and two sisters. He was retired form Inco Alloys, Welding Products Department. He played in the Tri-State and Industrial Baseball Leagues and umpired high school and Marshall University games. He was a long time New York Yankee and Marshall University football fan. He was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church and was active in its missionary work and loved his church family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anagene Smith Boyd; son, Mark Boyd of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Gary Morrison of South Point, Ohio; four precious granddaughters whom he loved so very much, Ashley and Whitney Morrison of South Point, Jamie and Josie Boyd of Huntington. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. David Lemming, and the Rev. Richard Sexton officiating. Entombment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Henson Mortuary, and from 1 p.m. until service time at the church on Saturday.
