HAROLD THURMAN COLLINS, 80, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at Henson Mortuary by the Rev. Jim Dailey. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Garden. He was born May 8, 1922, in Cabell County, a son of the late Sam and Agnes Clark Collins. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Sarah Emma Hicks and Julia Mae Collins. He was a retired carpenter, having worked with Lowell Clay Construction Co., and Mel Wright Construction. Mr. Collins was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Mae Reed Collins; a son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. David and Roberta Collins of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Wondel Vance of Huntington; twin brother Carroll Collins of Huntington; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
