SAMUEL REYNOLDS BELCHER JR., 76, of Barboursville, husband of Mildred Worrell Belcher died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Huntington V.A. Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1926, in Richmond, Va., a son of the late Samuel Reynolds and Lillian May Brown Belcher. He was a 1944 graduate of Benedictine High School, Richmond, Va. He was a former member of Southeast Huntington Lions Club, past president of Barboursville Little League, member of the American Legion, Richmond, Va., member of the Marine Corps League, participated in V.A. Volunteer Services for 20 years and board member Emeritus of Huntington Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Employees Federal Credit Union. He was a retired special representative for CSX Transportation. In addition to his wife, his is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry Lee Belcher of Columbus, Ohio, and Ronald Scott and Rhonda Samples Belcher of Crestwood, Ky.; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dick Ash of Huntington; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Bryant of San Diego and Elizabeth Spitzer of Salt Lake City; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard Lewis and Katie Mae Belcher of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Michael and Charlie Belcher, both of Huntington, and Tyler and Whitney Belcher, both of Crestwood, Ky.; a special loved one, Lady Amanda Prissy Miss; and several nieces and nephews, Christopher, Beth and Samantha Belcher, all of Richmond, Va., Patrick Belcher of Newport News, Va., Gherry and Spenser Bryant, both of San Diego, and Kenny and Dianna Spitzer of Salt Lake City. Funeral liturgy 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Henson Mortuary with rosary service held at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Belcher, I was just doing some research and learn of Mr. Belcher's death. I am sorry for your lose, please especially give Scott my condolences. Both Mom and Dad are here in Myrtle Beach close to me, but their health is not good. Again, I will remember your family in my prayers.
