ARTHUR JOHN BEAUMONT of Huntington passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 7, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church on Pea Ridge Road in Huntington. Bo, as he was known to his friends, was born in Morgantown and raised in Belington, W.Va., the son of the late Hazel Campbell Beaumont and Arthur Brittingham Beaumont. He is survived by Betty Beaumont, his wife of 57 years; a son Arthur John Beaumont Jr. from Morgantown, daughter-in-law Lee Ann Beaumont, two grandchildren Jennifer Leigh Beaumont and William Scott Beaumont; a cousin Laura Diskin from Pittsburgh, and her two sons, Beau Diskin and Myles Diskin. Bo was a veteran of World War II, serving as a medical technologist in Great Britain, France and the United States from 1944 to 1946. He graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, and worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Huntington as a medical technologist until his retirement in 1978. He was a charter member of Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, an avid contract bridge player, and follower of Marshall University sports. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, is handling arrangements
