Dortha H. Davis, 77, of Proctorville, OH peacefully passed away on April 25 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House. She was born February 28, 1944 in Fayetteville, WV to the late Woodrow Bennett and Aldina Bennett Newman. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Larry J. Davis and two sons, Larry Joe Davis (Star) of Raleigh, NC, and John Davis (Beverly) of Proctorville, OH, grandchildren Josh Davis (Andrea) of Huntington, Sarah Kitchens (Jessie) and Hannah Davis of NC, great-grandchildren Ian and Mia Davis of Huntington. Also surviving are her siblings, Garland Bennet (Janet) of Urbana, OH, Nona Chapman Moore (Newt), Mildred Johnson (Dwight) and Charles Bennett all of Huntington. Dortha was a homemaker and lifetime member of the VFW 9738 Ladies Auxiliary in Guyandotte. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. With Pastor Brady Lipscomb officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
