Donald Gene Teenie Cooper, 75, of Lesage, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Pastor Jamie Jefferson and Pastor Steve Hinkle. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. He was born February 20, 1935 in Cabell County, a son of the late Everett Lee and Lilly Nicely Cooper. He was a retired employee of Steel of West Virginia and a member of United Steel Workers #37. He attended Oak Hill United Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronald Cooper and a brother, Charles Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Blake Cooper; one son and daughter-in-law, Everett Eric and Lisa Cooper of Lesage; two sisters, Verna (Charles) Simpson and Velma Ryder, both of Lesage; two grandsons, Zachary Cooper and Tyler Cooper; and two step grandchildren, Deirdra and Caleb Gibson. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Pallbearers will be Mike Spurlock, Norman Chapman, Bobby Williams, Johnny Shepherd, Zachary Cooper and Tyler Cooper. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702. Bea we are both sad to read of Tennie's passing. It is hard to lose a Loved one no matter how well you might be prepeared.We are praying that God will Comfort you and your family. I regreat that I will not be able to make it to the funeral home. Gene & Lana

So sorry. Sorry we can't be there.
Like Tommy said Tennie plowed a lot of gardens mowed a lot of lawns.
Gave away a lot of vegetables, and his truck was always available.
I know loss is difficult. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
