Fred Fisher, 64, of Milton, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Chelcie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery with a Masonic service being conducted by the Lebanon Lodge 68. Fred was born October 10, 1946, a son of the late Granville and Opal Holley Fisher. He was retired from M&G Polymers. After he retired, Fred spent his time on his farm. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Holley Fisher; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Edith Fisher; one daughter and son-in-law, Valorie and John Dennison; one sister and brother-in-law, Eilean and Gaylord Johnson; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Harry and Barbara Fisher and Dwight and Mary Fisher; five grandchildren, Samantha, Jayna, Cole, Ellie and Bryce. Family will accept flowers or contributions may be sent to Hospice of Huntington at P.O. Box 464; Huntington, WV 25701. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m Monday, February 7, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Fred was as fine a man as far as I can remember. He loved to sing gospel songs at family gatherings. He was a hard working family mar who loved his family. I will always remember Fred as he was befor he got sick. He was a good man. My prayers are with Nancy and the family. May God be with you during this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Fred, he was a good man. he use to ride to work with my dad and he gave him the nickname "BlackBird" he will be missed. his pain is over and he's in heaven now walking on streets of gold and talking with all his loved ones. may god bless you Nancy & family.

I just wanted to let you know I love an miss you all, sorry I could'nt there. I know people are there to comfort you aunt Nancy an wish I was one of them. I will allways have a place in my heart for you an uncle Fred. I try to think about all the things that he loved an made him happy. The thing he loved the most was his family an a lot of church an reunion gatherings, an anybody that knew Uncle Fred, there had to be a huge ham. He also had a passion for his farm he loved the pigs! Love U an thinking of you all. May god shine the brightest beautiful light for all the hearts he has touched over the years. Be happy, be free in heaven yeh shall be. I love an miss you all an bless the little ones too, that helped papa in his time of need...
