Ronald Lee Nicely, 69, of Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. He was born December 18, 1941, in Salt Rock, WV, a son of the late Hayward Hefner Sr. and Ethel Nicely Hefner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He retired from Air Gas. He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Nicely, and infant baby, Rondal Nicely. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Nancy Nicely of Grand Rapids, MI; three grandchildren, Alexis, Hunter, and McKenna; three sisters, Judy Porter (Greg) of Barboursville; Tammy Hutchinson (Scott) of Milton; and Brenda Thornton (Connie) of Huntington; one brother, Hayward Hefner Jr. of Huntington; special niece Misty Beckett; special great-niece, Jamie Woodard; and special friend Sherry Roberts of Gallipolis, Ohio.
