 Stella Mae Lee, 82, of Salt Rock, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. David Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery. She was born January 11, 1929, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ward and Icie Adkins Hale. She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Mollie Estep and Ruby Gue. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lee; two daughters, Joyce Stambaugh and her husband James of Ashland, Ky and Dianna Flanagan and her husband Michael of Vienna, WV; four sisters, Alma Estep of Wayne, WV, Helen Ferguson of Salt Rock, WV, Vereda McCallister of Richmond,VA and Georgia Carol Pratt of Waycross, GA.; three grandchildren, Christi Greathouse and her husband Darren, Kelli Sprout and her husband Jeremy and Brian Flanagan and his wife Stephanie; two step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 and one hour prior to service on Friday at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Ave.; Barboursville, WV 25504. She was a member of Gloryway Baptist Church and the family wishes for donations be sent to the church in lieu of flowers; In Care Of Rev. I loved Ms Stella with all my heart...im sad she left this world,,,,but so glad she is with her sweet savior....she was a true blessing to me....Love you Stella and Herb.

Our church family mourns the passing of our dear sweet sister in Christ. She was a wonderful Christian lady and she will be truly missed. She made some of the most beautiful quilts of all time. I still cherish the ones she made for my two children when they were born. My condolences to Herb and the rest of the family.

We met Stella while visiting the Glory Way church where mom and dad attend. Stella was such a wonderful person, and always had a smile on her face. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Stella is now at home with her Lord and Savior. God bless. Wendell and Debbie Mays
