Tonya and I were best friends since the third grade. We were inseperable, like sisters. This breaks my heart and I am going to miss her so much. Tonya Marie McCarthy, 25, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor James Burlile. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born October 2, 1985, in Morgantown, a daughter of Jacob Everett McCarthy III of Cross Lanes and Linda Marie Messinger McCarthy of Huntington. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Herbert Lee Messinger and her niece, Haven Brooke McCarthy. In addition to her parents she is survived by three daughters, Jaylena Marie , Josie Maureen and Juliet Mailani; maternal grandparents, Sarah Marie Messinger Jacobs of Huntington; one sister, Crystal Dawn McCarthy; one brother, Jacob Everett McCarthy IV; nephew, Brandon Gaige McCarthy; aunt and uncle, Sherry and Charlie Uphold; cousin, Heidi Lee Uphold; special friend, Ed Perry and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
