Thena  AdkinsThena Adkins, 74, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 28, 2011, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, by Minister Emual Adkins and Minister Delmar Adkins. Burial will be in Scott Adkins Cemetery. She was born January 25, 1937, in Wayne County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Johnny and Virgin Frazier Napier. She was a member of Wolfpen Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Caloway Napier. She is survived by her husband, Linel Adkins; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Ann and Charles Vernon Calhoun of Huntington, WV; one son and daughter-in-law, Linel Keith and Debbie Adkins, of Huntington, WV; three sisters, Magdalene Fry of South Point, Ohio, Tempa Farley of Kenova, WV, and Myrtle Soulieu of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers, Frank Napier of Wayne, WV, Harvey Napier, of Kenova, WV, and Golden Napier of Huntington, WV; three grandchildren, Gary Lee and Tina Pyles; Virgil Nathan and Melissa Adkins, and Paris Ethan Adkins; and three great-grandchildren, Tre, Gage, and Abigail Athena; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Debbie I am so sorry for your loss I was not aware of her death until today when my daughter told me. She told me you took Edna with you. trying to think of something anything that I could say to let you know how sorry I am.the words dont come.just know that my prares are with you and you are not alone.Ant Theni was always such a kind and loveing person.I cant rember her without a smile on her face.Uncle Linel,Keath and Debby I love you and so sorry that you are going through this.
