 Jennie Lou Burns, 80, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2011. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Baylous Cemetery by Pastor Paul Meadows. She was born April 5, 1931 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late John and Cora Aliff Byrom. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. She was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Burns; two sons, Thomas (Mary) Burns of Barboursville, WV, and Steve (Doris) Burns of Ona, WV; two sisters, Lena Douglas of Barboursville, WV, and Georgia Ingwerson of Ona, WV; three grandchildren, Mark Burns, Stephanie Burns, and Courtney Burns; and three great-grandchildren, Josie Burns, Jackie Burns, and Zaidyn Burns. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Im am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting Jennie and getting to know her.
She was a lovely lady.
Jennie is in a far better place than all of us, just think she is in a mansion with our Heavenly Father and she has a new pain free body.
