 Helen Pauline Crowder Dailey, 93, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2011 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Barker Ridge United Baptist Church, by Rev. James Dailey, Pastor Roger Smathers and Rev. Charlie Henry. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born April 23, 1918, in London, WV, a daughter of the late William Crowder and Flossie Wick Crowder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Dailey Sr.; brothers Norville and Harry Crowder; daughter-in-law, Beverly Sue Dailey; and grandson, Zachary Scarberry. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Bill Thompson and Elaine and Dale Henry of Ona; three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Vera Floe Dailey, Alva Jr Perk and Linda Dailey of Ona, and Jim and Mauna Dailey of Barboursville; nine grandchildren, Lois (Bruce) Scarberry, Alan (Felicia) Thompson, David (Marie) Thompson, Steve (Amanda) Dailey, Stephanie (Darrell) Blankenship, Monica (Mike) Vanscoy, Myra (Patrick) Finneran, Tara (Jeff) Sansom, and Charlie (Ann) Henry; step-grandchildren, Paula (Melvin) Hudnall and Chris (Brandwyn) Frye; sister, Ethel McComas; sister-in-law, Ola Mae Dailey; fourteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
