Cornice Adkins was as "good as it gets" as a cheerful friend who met, fell in love, married my childhood friend Charlene Clay. They were never apart; they were the type couple who always created a "fun" situation where they traveled. He was a hard worker, but no matter how tired he became, he never lost his sense of humor. Charlene, Bill, Joy, and Rogers Clay were family to me. I'll always be thankful for our time together. Prayers go up for the Adkins Family especially his cousin Ronnie Adkins . Martha Road will never be the same, however; we will never be alone for memories have carried all of us this far. Carol aka "Sue " Ross Jeffrey

Charlene, I can't imagine your sorrow. It just seems like yesterday that the four of us were carefree teenagers and so much in love. 50 years, where have they gone? Our love and condolences go to you and both your children. I know that he will be missed and remembered as a wonderful husband and father and grandfather. Our love to your family.
