Aunt Ruth, I don't know of words really capable of describing Uncle Larry. He touched so many people with his kindness, and willingness to give of himself to teach girl's basketball.

Mr. Lambert will be greatly missed, but I know he is in heaven rejoicing. He was a great man. My aunt Nan Daniels was his PTO president, my son Trey Cole was a student of his, and I was a substitute in his school. Even after he retired, he would still stop and ask about Trey when we would run into each other. My family loved Mr. Lambert.

Mr. Lambert taught many of us to dance in Barboursville Elementary Gym class. We idolized him. He also helped to teach us to laugh at ourselves and be kids. I am so sad but know that we will see him in heaven. He loved his family and his students. He touched many lives in such a positive way.

To Larry's family and freinds,he was truly a great person, coach and friend.I met Larry when he started the WV Thunder,I had just started the Hocking Valley Stars. The great thing about Larry was that you knew that he truly cared about the girls as players but more importantly as young women and how the game could help them in life. He will be missed but not forgotten.May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace.

Mr Lambert was my gym teacher back in the 60's for five years at B'ville Elem and he was also my children's principal at Cox Landing Elem. I worked for Mr. Lambert at Cox Landing. He was a wonderful principal and a wonderful person. He was always kind and helpful, nice to everyone and funny too. Whenever I ran into him in town or at the Y after I left Cox Landing he always greeted me with a smile and showed genuine interest in my life. He never failed to ask about my son who was born shortly after I started working for him. I loved to listen to him talk about his AAU girls and watch his eyes crinkle and twinkle with delight as he told about the success his current team was having. What a wonderful man. I was so very sad to learn of his illness and death. May your memories of happier times help you through this most difficult time.
