Ricky Lane Caldwell, 52, of Salt Rock, WV, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Madison United Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Hatfield and Rev. Tony Poindexter officiating. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. He was born December 14, 1958 in Huntington, WV, a son of Donald and Ellorie Ross Caldwell of Salt Rock, WV. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Caldwell. He was a member of Madison United Baptist Church where he served as deacon and treasurer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dianna Hatfield Caldwell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Crystal Caldwell, and Trae Jordan T.J. Caldwell, all of Salt Rock, WV; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Michael Core of Birmingham, Alabama, Tonya and David Morrison of Barboursville, and Lisa and Jerry Hatten of Kenova, WV; two grandchildren, Dustin and Destiny Caldwell; several nieces and nephews as well as his extended church family. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after Noon Tuesday at the church. Taken too soon, fought so hard, but no longer sufferning wtih this terrible disease. My deepest condolences in the loss of your dear Rick. May you all have comfort in knowing what wonderful parents and siblings you were to him, and that GOD led him down the right path in life. May he rest in the arms of angels now, and may his memory bring a smile and warn thoughts of what a wonder man he was.
