1950 - 2011
 Connie Sue Johnson Carter, 60, of Milton, WV, was graciously embraced by our Heavenly Father on August 26, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, after a courageous battle with cancer. Connie, the daughter of Geraldine Johnson Meadows, and the late Waldo Johnson, was born November 14, 1950. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gale Johnson, a nephew, Mike Jenkins, and a step-father, Raymond Meadows. Connie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donald Carter; her son, Justin Donovon Carter; her sisters, Linda (Robert) Jenkins, Barbara Jefferson, Tammy Frazie, and Kelly Porter; brother, Dale Johnson; and a host of family and friends. Connie was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1968. Connie was the founder of Ladies Plus Consignment Shop in Milton. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with a candle light funeral service at 7 p.m. Monday, with the Reverend Winfred Curry officiating. A private burial at Enon Cemetery is planned for later. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. I'm so sorry for your loss. Connie was a wonderful person who always made me smile. I had the pleasure of caring for Connie many times over the last few years. She went from being a patient to a friend. I know that she'll be missed greatly by all those who knew her. Our loss is heavens gain. May the Lord bless you all in this time of sadness.
