 Velva M. Ayers, 75, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born February 23, 1936, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Albert Jenkins and Lillian Flora. She is also preceded in death by her husband Sterling Ayers and 11 siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Ayers and her companion John Evans and Teresa Floyd and her husband Joby; two sons, Robert Ayers and Sterling Ayers; five grandchildren, Jerick Floyd, Joshua Floyd, Angela Ayers, Tangie Ayers, Eddie Black and one great grandchild, Joseph Floyd. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor George Surgeon and Pastor Kevin Shull officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
