 Elmer LeRoy Angus, 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was born on February 15, 1919, in Little Hocking, Ohio. He was the son of the late Willie G. Angus and Mable Griffith Angus. Elmer was a member of Milton United Methodist Church. He retired from Inco in 1977 after 36 years of service. Elmer was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 139. Elmer was preceded in death by his son, William LeRoy Angus, his sister, Marjorie Angus, brother, Edward Angus, sisters in law, Mildred Wannack, Gilda Urias, Elaine Angus and brothers in law, Fred Perry and Forest Wallace. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Elmer is survived by his wife of 70 years, Geraldine Jordan Angus; one daughter, Cheryl and husband Dan Moore of Calabash, NC; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris) Stanley of Raleigh, NC, Shellie (Jimmy) Behling of Lexington, SC, Larry (Allison) Blake of Fayetteville, AR, Nathan (Allison) Moore of Arden, NC, Beth (Matt) McKenna of Centerville, OH, Kim (Frank) Spivey of Wilmington, NC, Shawn (Tim) Morgan of Bridgeport, WV, Shannon (Shawn) Rudy of Grafton, WV, and Rob (Michelle) Angus of Grafton, WV.; 26 great-grandchildren, Meghan and Josh Stanley, Hunter, Tanner and Jordan Behling, Lawson, Caroline, Walker and Macey Blake, McArthur Moore, Maggie, Maura, Benj, Brigid, Andrew and Janie McKenna, Brooke and Hobie Cartrette, Luke and Rachel Morgan, Zack, Skyler and Tayler Rudy, Alec, Kylie and William Angus; brother, Seldon Angus of Sandyville, WV; sisters, Barbara Wallace of Milton, WV, Helen Dillon (Charles) of Ripley, WV and Dorothy Riggs (Delmer) of Sandyville, WV; sisters in law, Dortha Lee Angus of Ripley, WV and Betty Perry of Milton, WV; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, WV. Committal service will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
