Betty Jane Gerlach Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1936 - 2011 Betty Jane Gerlach, 74, of Huntington, passed away Saturday December 10, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born December 31, 1936 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Leslie and Edna Jordan Blake. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Deann Gibson and Betty June Jones, brothers and sisters, Charles Blake, Robert Blake, Ruth Abbott, Donna Sowards, Mary Hemming and Dorothy Stephens. She is survived by her husband, Peter Gerlach; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Dee and Gary Bowen of Ona and Shelia and Richard Holley of Huntington; brothers and sisters, Ruby Ratliff, Bertha Woodyard, Ronald Stephens, Isaac Blake and Donald Blake; five grandchildren, Stacie Thompson of Ona, Sharon Collins of Ona, Tracy and Michael Burd of Huntington and Brittney Gibson of Huntington; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; four step-children, Toney and Duff Gerlach, Pete Perry and Pepsi and John Richardson and five step-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

My condolences to the whole family. Each of one you are blessed to have had the opportunity to have Betty in your life as a relative. She was truly a strong fighter and survivor. God wanted and neded her to come home. Betty went through so many trials and tribulations. No parent should loose a child. I will be praying for the whole family. My you find peace in your loss. Love to you all and bless each and everyone of you.
