So very sorry about your Mom's passing! I know that she has been ill for a lengthy period of time; and, perhaps, we should be comforted in knowing that she is in a better place and her suffering has ended.

Dear Sara and John: I was so sorry to hear of your Sister and your Mother's passing. She always was a lovely woman. Sara, you and I was good friends growing up in Culloden and I went to school with your nephew John. John, I know this heart ache - my Mom died 4 years ago this past Christmas day. Do the best you - that is all I can tell you - it will get diffrent over time but that hurt will remain there. They are no longer suffering and have that journey over. Bless you all!

Barbara Ann Lewis, 68, of Milton, WV, went home to be with her Lord Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Union Baptist Church, Milton, by Pastor Brent Beckett. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born July 27, 1943 in Culloden, a daughter of the late Denver and Frances Honaker Nutter. She is survived by her husband, John G. Lewis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Gregg Mullins of Milton, and Michelle and Buddy Chapman of Ona; one son and daughter-in-law, John D. and Angela Lewis of Milton; one sister, Sara Robertson, of Milton; two brothers, Roger Nutter of PA, and Wayne Nutter of Culloden; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Corey, Dustin, Taylor, Seth and Nick, and one great-grandchild, Aiden. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton and after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the church. The family would like to thank the staff of Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House and Dr. Kimmey and his staff for their loving care during Barbaras courageous battle with cancer.
