1930 - 2012
 Thomas Jim Turner, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Johnny Harris. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Huntington, WV. He was born November 10, 1930 in Paintsville, KY, a son of the late Carl and Stella Mae Burchett Turner. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Allen Ray Harrison and one sister, Loraine Jayne. He was a retired crane operator with Huntington Piping, a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army, a member of V.F.W. Post #9738 Guyandotte , a member of the American Legion and a member of Beulah Heights Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Davis Turner, he was the love of my life; one son, Jimmy (Donna) Turner of Huntington; two stepdaughters, Derinda Kay Burton of Huntington and Victoria Lynn (Dan) Richardson of Vero Beach, FL; two stepsons, Kenneth Lee (Carolyn) Harrison of Okeechobee, FL and Steven Tyrone (Amy) Harrison of Huntington; fifteen grandchildren, Shane, Shauna, Jeremiah, Josh, Logan, Micayla, Laurel, Justin, Jared, Jeffrey, Jacinda, Jessie, Phina, Charles and D.K.; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one special niece, Jackie Jayne. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. Sorry for your loss. I have lots of memories growing up of Jim. He was my grandfathers parntner in crime ! Such a funny, good turned fellow. I know he will be deeply missed.

I have very fond memories of Jim. One of the things that I remember him saying frequently was "it's a true story" when telling one of his many stories. He will be missed. Sending prayers for the whole Family.
