 William David Ellis, 59, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, February 2, 2012, at his home. He was born June 18, 1952, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late William and Margaret Beckett Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Bob Beckett. He is remembered by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Johnson Ellis; children, Wendi Ellis Martin, Carrie Mueller Hess, Jerrie Mueller, and Daniel Mueller; grandchildren, Jacob, Alex, Emily, Ethan, Ellaina, Quentin, Braydon, Zayne, Bella, and Colton; and sister-in-law, Jeanie Beckett. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. Althought I haven't seen David, my cousin, in several years he will surely be missed. Wish family would keep in touch. So very sorry Wendy to hear this. You and the family will be in my prayers.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn of David's passing ! I went to South Point schools with Dave and we were close friends growing up. He was a great guy and will be missed by all. His family is in my thoughts & prayers. Sincere condolences.

We knew Dave from Waterford Village. He was always so nice and had a smile on his face every time we saw him. We were sad to hear of his passing. We are keeping his wife and family in our prayers and pray that God gives you comfort during this hard time.
