1935 - 2012
 Carl "Duke" Edward Childers, 76, of Barboursville, passed from this Life on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at St. Marys Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. Carl was born in Cabell County on June 27, 1935 to the late Nellie Bowyer Childers and John Childers. He worked at H.K. Porter and Steel of WV for 40 years and he loved to farm and loved to be outside. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis "Bud" Childers and foster sister, Sue Humphery. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anna Jean Setliff Childers and his daughter, Susan (Roger) Young of Barboursville, WV; his son, John "Eddie" and Mary Childers of Barboursville; his granddaughter, Christina Childers of Barboursville; very special friends, Darrell and Helen Childers and a special nephew, Buddy Childers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Maupin Cemetery at Yates Crossing by Pastor Larry Sanders.
