1987 - 2012

Stephen Tyler ChildersStephen Tyler Childers, 25, of Barboursville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Tyler will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was an "awesome" father to his son Blake and dearly loved his fiancé, Katy Keesee. They were his family and had a promising future ahead of them. He had a special unique bond with his sister, Kelly and caring and loving respect for his parents, Randy and Pat, as well as his fiancé's parents, Junior and Marcy Keesee who welcomed Tyler into their lives in October of 2005. He also leaves his grandmothers, Edith Fay Barebo and Deloris Childers and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. We will always hold dear Tylers willingness to help others like Jeff and Amanda McComas and Nikki Keesee and his open and ready smile for everyone. He had a special connection with children who welcomed him with open arms, like his nieces Darcie and Brooke and his nephews Joey, Hunter, and Wade. His departure from this earth was so premature and will leave a ragged gaping hole in each of our hearts. All of our lives were made richer and stronger because of Tyler. We will miss you Tyler, and will see you again in a better life along with your grandfathers, Edward L. Barebo and Denzil Childers. He was a truly happy and loving person. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Ray Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

My/Our thoughts & prayers are with Tyler & his family & his fiance. Tyler graduated from HS w/ our daughter, Cassie, & I remember they met in middle school. I, Jean, was an active volunteer at Barboursville Middle while they were students there. Tyler always stood out as a true gentleman (even at that young age), very well liked & a very caring (& fun) young man. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Tyler was an amazing person. Though i lost touch with him after school I knew his kind heart carried on, it's just how he was. All the memories i've had with him from elementary and up will be cherished and always remembered. I mourn for his family because i know he was taken too soon in their eyes...and in mine...I'm sorry for the loss of a great, father, lover, and friend...He Will Be Forever Missed By All He Touched!
