My condolences to family and friends. I worked for a number of years at the Mall while in High School and Tom was such a delight to get to know through all those years. He always had a smile upon his face and great stories to share. 15 years have passed since I lived in Barboursville but every year, when I visited family, I always made sure to stop in and catch up with him, a highlight of my trips. May you find comfort and peace in all the memories you and others have.

To the Black Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I have known him for about 10 years. I would stop by in my volunteer ministry work and we would have nice discussions concerning the Bible. He always had a good heart and appreciated what Jesus sacrificed for us. Please know that we will look forward to seeing him again in the resurection and to God's promise of a better life---Revelation 21: 3-5. I will miss my ministry visits with him.
With our sincere sympathy.

Our love and prayers go out to you and your family Patty. I know you will miss him but what a wonderful reunion we will all have with our loved ones when we see Jesus face to face. My condolences to Tom's family. I know they will miss him. He was a great neighbor. He gave me a black rascally kitten that was my buddy for 19 years. He grew beautiful tulips that my son unfortunately picked because he thought they were so pretty. Fortunately, Tom was able to laugh about the destruction of his plants. A life well lived leaves many behind like myself who think of their kindness and the ways in which they touched their lives. When I think of Tom it will be with fond remembrance of someone that I was better off knowing.

I am so sorry for your loss. I new Tom when he was employed by the board of ed. I was the secretary in the maintenance office and talked with him often. I also saw him when he collected money at the BHS football games. I make sure he always had his coffee at the games. He and Wilson COllins would work the games and it was always a pleasure to see him. May God grant you peace through this sad part of your life.
