Reva Myrtle Hood Frye, 92, of Huntington, went to her eternal rest on June 24, 2012. She was born September 9, 1919, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Walter Edison Hood and Lucy Hayes Hood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Farley Frye; son, Joseph Walter Frye; brother, Marshall Hood and sister, Freda Downs. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Linda Frye, Thomas and Alice Frye, and Allen and JoAnn Frye all of Huntington; grandchildren, Jennifer Eisner and Joseph Frye, Michael, Steven, and Carolyn Frye, Brian and Chris Frye and Laura Frye-Banovez; step grandchildren, Michelle Gallaher, Melanie Gallaher Petry and Melinda Sue Gallaher; great grandchildren, Erin Frye, Hayden Frye, Cole and Corrine Eisner, Madison, Caleb, Rachel, and Ocean Frye; nine step great grandchildren, Cassandra Watts, Morgan and Justin Wheatley, Alicia, Gabby, and Forrest Pelfrey, Madison, Madeline, and Marlana Petry. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Our Lady of Fatima Church by Father Jim Sobus. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park.
