 Charles Red Jarvis, 79, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the The Havens of Princeton. He was born February 5, 1933 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late William and Juanita Thacker Jarvis. He was retired from ACF Industries, was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict, was a member of V.F. W. Post #9738 Guyandotte and was a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge #1459. He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Lora Frye, three sisters, Theresa Flesher, Alta Pearson and Mary Faye Cook, and three brothers, Bill Jarvis, Sam Jarvis and Jimmy Jarvis. He is survived by one daughter, Theresa Goble of Ceredo, WV; one son, Ron Jarvis of Michigan; one stepson, Chris Frye of Huntington; two sisters, Donna Geer of Melbourne, Florida and Wanda Self of Princeton, WV; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Ron Burnsworth. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites by the Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 12 -1 pm Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV. Donna and Wanda and family,
I am very sorry to hear of Charles' passing. He was a very good man I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing for several years. May God keep you all in his loving arms during this difficult time.
