I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS IS NEVER ENOUGH! I WILL REMEMBER MARY JANE AS A GOOD FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR WHO WAS ALWAYS THERE WHEN I NEEDED HER, SHE GAVE OF HER TIME TO HELP OTHERS WHICH IS THE MOST SPECIAL GIFT TO GIVE ANOTHER. I LEARNED HOW TO GROW FLOWERS FROM HER AND I'LL REMEMBER HOW SHE LOVED THE WORK IT TOOK TO MAKE HER GARDENS BEAUTIFUL! SHE HELPED ME WITH DECORATING MY HOUSE, WHICH SHE WAS SO GIFTED AT! SHE WAS A GREAT COOK, COULD SEW, REFINISH FURNITURE, DO CRAFTS, ANYTHING SHE PUT HER MIND TO! OUR LOVE FOR ANIMALS WAS A BOUND BETWEEN US! ABOVE ALL HER FAMILY WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN HER LIFE, THAT WAS ALWAYS EVIDENT TO ME, BLESS YOU ALL IN THIS TIME OF GRIEF!

Mary Jane Brumfield, 63 of Ona, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, peacefully at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Mary Jane was a devoted mother, daughter and wife. She was an avid gardener and a lover of animals. A former educator and realtor she graduated from Barboursville High School and Marshall University. Mary is survived by her mother Anne Brady Turman of Barboursville, WV, her husband James William Brumfield; son Dr. Christopher Brumfield of High Point; daughters Jennifer Brumfield Rocawich and her husband Mike of Midlothian, VA and Mary Kathryn Souto and husband Lee of Durham, NC; grandchildren James Gavin and Georgia Anne Brumfield and Cole Souto; sister Susan Gaynor and her husband Ron of Dublin, OH. Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012 at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. Visitation two hours before the service at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be in Marys honor to Little Victories Animal Rescue at 3589 Wire Branch Rd.
