1943 - 2012
 Wade Douglas Chapman, 69, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2012, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born February 10, 1943, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late General Lee and Evelyn McCallister Chapman. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Peggy Wallace Chapman, one daughter Christy Chapman, and one son John Bradley Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Powers) Stowasser Chapman; two sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Wendy Chapman and Jay and Vicky Chapman; one sister and brother-in-law Kay and Jim Woodyard; one step daughter and her husband, Kristy and Mark DeGrandpre; three grandchildren Misty, Jason and Natalie Chapman; one step grandson Cody Rohrig; four great grandchildren, Jayden, Raelyn, Braxton and Aubrey. There will be no visitation per his request. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Union Baptist Church, Milton, WV, by Rev. Winford Curry and Rev. Keith Creasy. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of arrangements. Prayers are being sent to the family in this time of sorrow. Mr. Wade & Peggy opened their home to me in 1988 as my foster parents. They were a beautiful, loving, caring & hard-working family. They cared for me as if I was their child & ensured I had everything I needed. Peace to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Wade's passing. When he worked for S.S. Logan's, he was our delivery driver for the Chatterbox in Kenova. He was always so friendly and always trying to get a joke on our head cook. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God be with your family during this loss.

The Chapman family has lost a grate Father, brother and husband and I have lost a grate friend.
The last time I was with wade I did something I always do before saying goodby I give him a big hug and told him Wade I love you and he said I love you to Lowell.
I think the good Lord for making hem a part of my life.
