Betty  HibnerBetty (Mame) F. Hibner, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, of Huntington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 2, 2012, following a brief illness, at Ruby Memorial Hospital (WVUH) in Morgantown, WV. She was born October 6, 1921 in Ceredo-Kenova to the late Oscar M. and Zelda L. Moss Hunt. Betty graduated from Barboursville High School and had worked at the People's Company, and Dress Factory in Huntington. She loved to travel with her family to Myrtle Beach and many places in Florida. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Calvin; a daughter Patricia (Pat) G. Edge of Bridgeport, WV; special granddaughters Elizabeth and Patricia Edge of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Barry F. Hibner of Virginia, Larry R. Jr. Chari Iams, Karie Winans, of Missouri; Calvin Carlton Hibner and April Dawn Hibner LeCours, Carol Nichols of West Springfield, Massachusetts and Richard (Ricky) Nichols of Cincinnati, OH.; one sister-in-law Nadine Hunt of Barboursville; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son Larry R. Hibner, grandson Jerry D. Hibner; sisters and brothers-in-law Kathleen and Floyd Black; and Dorothy and John Trainer; brothers Bernard R. Hunt and William F. Hunt. She was the eldest and last surviving child of her parents. Betty was a member of the Barboursville Wesleyan Methodist Church and served on the church board for many years, and was a member of the Barboursville Senior Citizens Center. Betty was a devout Christian and was a loving inspiration to her family and everyone she knew. Friends may call at the Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville on Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm and services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 pm and entombment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The Rev. Dr. John Sauvage will officiate. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I was so sorry to see that Betty had passed away. My you all always remember the loving memories of your mother, aunt and grandmother. I new her a very long time ago as she and Calvin were friends of my parents and Connie and I went to school together and are friends. I remember great times with her and her family. Calvin and family, You have our sincerest and deepest sympathy. We met Calvin and Betty when we attended Barboursville Wesleyan Church several years ago. Betty was always so sweet and gentle and lovingly spoke of her family. I know she will be missed.
