Rex was such a wonderful person. I always enjoyed his discussions. He was always so very nice to me when he was on the school board and always stopped for a conversation later. He will be missed greatly. We were certainly blessed by his presence. Sincerely, Kathy

The name Rex Bartholomew is synonymous with the Herald-Dispatch Voice of The People letters. For many years he VOICED his FAITH for all the world to read. He was a shining light in this very dark and getting darker world. Today he is being buried and his light is shining in HEAVEN now. My condolences to the family are extended. You must miss him terribly already. Many men can be and are husbands, fathers and grandfathers...BUT not as many are true and faithful as was Brother Rex. He lived what he preached. His life matched his lip. I am missing his testimony. But I know his works follow him. I will miss his letters. I always looked forward to reading them. HIS MEMORY IS A BLESSED ONE!

Bro. Rex was a faithful minister of the Lord Jesus Christ. He baptized me and my wife back in 1975. I had just received the Lord, and he was my first pastor. He could preach God's word with Holy Spirit power. I send my condolences to the family. Bro. Rex will be missed, but not forgotten. He touched my life, and one day I will see my him again. All because of Calvary, the Blood, and the Empty Tomb. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning" (Ps 30:5). May the God peace send comfort.

Dear Jane, It is good to connect with you but I am sorry for the circumstances. Joyce and I send our deep sympathy and condolences. You were so blessed that God gave you such a good man. God's thoughts toward us are "too numerous to count" (Ps. 139:17; Ps. 40:5). He knows, He sees, and He loves and cares. He will see you through, Jane. I'm reminded of the joy it was to work with you so long ago.

Unfortunately for us who remain, loss in inevitable and painful, but through that loss, we have a Lord who does not leave us comfortless. Feel His loving and warm embrace as you mourn the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, friend. He is up in heaven with the one he loved the most and who loved him more that anyone else ever could. May peace abound knowing that we will see him again at a later time and a better place. Our love and prayers go out to you, Jane, Steve, Sheri, Becky and your extended families.

Jane I am very very sorry to hear about Rex. He was a wonderful man and I admired him very much. I learned alot from him during his years at Chestnut Grove. I remember his teaching on Revelations. I still have notes I took when he was teaching it and have handed the teaching down to my children. Years have passed since our last meeting but I will always remember your "REX". Love you, Dianna.
