 MAUDE LILLIAN LEE JOHNSON, 95, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum by Minister David Gladwell. She was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Bowen, Ky., a daughter of the late Allen and Vada Bias Lee. She was a member of Barboursville Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Dave R. Johnson; three brothers, Everett Hill, Roy Lee and Alvin "Red" Lee; five sisters, Ollie Saurel, Mary Day, Daisy Coldiron, Ella Johnson and Dorothy Schmidt; and one granddaughter, Diane Nida. She is survived by her children, Freeman (Faye Bowyer) Johnson of Ona, W.Va., Patricia Gail Nivens of Biloxi, Miss., Linda (Mason) Nida of Barboursville, Brenda (Mike) Green of Houston, Texas, Norma (Joe) Motus of St. Albans, W.Va., and David Johnson of Ona, W.Va.; two sisters, Elsie Childers and Mabel Sabo, both of Brunswick, Ohio; one brother, Herb Lee of Salt Rock, W.Va.; seventeen grandchildren, Loretta Johnson (Jerry) Ross of Salt Rock, W.Va., Drexel Simpson of Monroe, La., Phillip Simpson of West Monroe, La., James Simpson of Monroe, La., Connie Johnson (Todd) Neil of Barboursville, W.Va., Carol Simpson Gipson of Biloxi, Miss., Timmy (Robin) Johnson of Ona, W.Va., David (Lisa) Harris of Huntington, W.Va., James (Angie) Harris of Point Pleasant, W.Va., Joe (Kim) Nida of Effingham, S.C., Heather (Jamie) McConnell of Charlotte, N.C., Jessica Nida of Wheeling, W.Va., David (Amy) Johnson of Huntington, W.Va., Scott (Elizabeth) Cook, of St. Albans, W.Va., Chris (BJ) Green of Barboursville, W.Va., Thomas (Erin) Johnson of Panama City, Fla., and Matt Johnson of Huntington, W.Va.; thirty-five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one grandpuppy, Trixie. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. The family would like to give a special thanks to Sandy Johnson and Alice Cart for taking care of our mother and also to Hospice of Huntington for the wonderful care.
