I cannot begin to express my sadness for you and your family. I was given the blessing of knowing Jimmy and he was a wonderful sweet man. Jimmy and my father, Greg Jordan, grew up together and they thought the world of each other. And he always was a caring sweet man to me. He helped console me in my grieving of my father as did I with him. I am sorry I am just writing but I live out of town and just found out about him tonight so let me apologize for not sending my condolences earlier. You were blessed to have had a special man in your life as well as everyone that he knew. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this time and I am so sorry for your loss. Both my wife and my self have known Jimmy since he worked at the Texaco Gas Station on RT 60, He always wanted to be a policeman, and always talked to me about it as I was a City of Huntington Policeman back then, and he was a co-worker at Cabell County Home Confinement, with me. I'd like to tell all the family I give my condolence. He will be missed. God Bless all the family and my wife, wants to wish her great friend Jeannette Muth her condolence also. And prayers. Our hearts are heavy with the lose of Jimmy. !

The world has lost one of the good guys. Jimmy was a great guy and was always making someone laugh. Everytime you saw him he was the same. He treated others with dignity regardless of whether he was arresting them or not. The BVPD and those he left behind have lost a truly good soul. My thoughts and prayers for the family.

My loving husband, James Anthony "Jimmy" Bellomy, 52, of Barboursville, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 3, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Father Jim Sobus and Rev. Dr. John Sauvage. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born December 10, 1960 in Huntington, a son of the late James Calvin and Betty Lou Smith Bellomy. He was a policeman for the City of Barboursville since 1982. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Miller Bellomy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lisa and Glen White and Crystal Bellomy all of Huntington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Betty Miller of Barboursville, and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends. The family would like to especially thank the Barboursville Police Department, Cabell County Sheriff's Department, West Virginia State Police, Cabell County EMS, and Cabell County Home Confinement for their care, support and comradery.
