1920 - 2013
 Verba Helen Finley Manning, 92, of Milton, WV, passed away May 10, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 2, 1920, in Milton, WV, Cabell County. Verba was a member of the Zoar Baptist Church Mud River, West Virginia. She was formerly an employee of Sovines Grocery in Culloden, WV for 14 years. Verba was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ollie Deacon Finley. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Wilford Manning; son James Wilford Jimmy Manning II; sisters, Josie Finley, Clarie Triplett, Ellie Johnson, Anna Hall; brothers, Harold, Arthur, Larry, Glendal and Randall Winkie Finley. She is survived by her son Eddie Manning of Hurricane, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Mary Grantham. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Mark Finley officiating. Visiting hours will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zoar Baptist Church, 1955 Balls Gap Road, Milton, WV, 25541 or Sunrise Temple Baptist Church, Rt. 2 Box 270, Milton, WV 25541.

Eddie, I just want you to know that our family sends their condolences to you in the passing of your Mother. You were there with her all the way for the last 5 or so years and I know in her last days she probably wasn't able to relay that to you that you did a good job.
