I was searching the web for my former Teachers and ran across Mrs. Clay's Obituary. I am saddened to know she passed. I learned a great deal from her in my 5th grade year at Chesapeake East Elementary. She was a caring woman and loved her students as if they were her own children. My deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to the Family.

I am so sorry to hear of Betty Jane's passing. I worked with her in Christian Woman's Club and she was such a help to us and so faithful. We missed her so when she moved. I was in NC for a funeral in my family when she had her service, so was unable to attend. Our sympathy and prayers to you.

Remember Betty Jane from many years ago.Have picture of myself, brother Jack Fleming and Betty Jane when Grandma & Pa Welch lived at former Brady house on the corner of Main and Nash in Barboursville. Had not seen B.J. for many years as I now live in Missouri, but remember her so well. She was dear, sweet person, I am know her family will all miss her deeply.
