Dear Merry & Family,
I am shocked and saddened to hear that your husband passed away. Janeel just informed our family of this. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I appreciate the knowledge I gained from attending institute classes there at Marshall University--they helped to develop & strengthen my testimony of the Gospel. Thank you for moving to Huntington. I know that Dad had high respect for Lisle and greatly appreciated his contribution to the library, church, and community. Your family's move to Huntington was a blessing to many. My prayers are with you as you make the temporary adjustment.
With love and kindest regards,
Kanani

Merry and Family,
We all have fond memories of Lisle. He was so influential as an institute instructor and made a difference in many young single adults lives at Marshall University particularly in the 70s when Shirley was among that group. We want to thank him and your family for all of the service he rendered in our behalf. The Johnson Family

To the Family, friends and co-workers of Curator, Lisle Brown: Mrs. Hamlin and I would like to express our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to all of you in your time of great loss. With Lisle's 40 plus years with SC, the Archives and Morrow Library, Lisle's expertise will be a great loss to all - but especially to Marshall University. He was a know-ledgeable Curator. Lisle was quiet and unassuming as he went about his work, but was always quick to offer assistance to anyone with a need. Sadly, he will be missed by all.
