To "Buck" & Goldie's children: so saddened to check Huntington obits and see your mother's name. We were close friends of your parents when were were teens & into young married life. Jack & your dad were best friends, along with Richard Ward, from their earlr teens in Guyandotte. Your mom graduated from HHS while Jack, Richard, & I graduated from HEHS. For many years, up into our mid-20s we spent all our free time together. Oddly, it was religion that ended the closeness. In one year's time, around 1954, we all joined churches of different faiths and we drifted apart. We still considered them our dearest friends. We moved to Tennessee in 1969 and totally lost touch. In their oldest photos you will likely see Jack & Sweet Pea and Richard & Ruthie having great fun with your Mom & Dad. We cherish their memories.

I will miss you Goldie at our gas company lunches. Although I never worked with you I surely enjoyed your sweet personality at our lunches. We exchanged some crazy birthday cards. My prayers to your family.

Paula and David, I'm very sorry for the loss of your Mother. Goldie was a wonderful person and such a Lovely Lady. I worked with her at Lazarus for many years.I invited her to go with me to see a movie at the mall,(message in a bottle)and when it ended we both came out with tears, wondering why the movie didn't have a happy ending. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.May God give you some peace and comfort during this trying time for all of you.
