Today you as a family, say see you later to a noble man-Merle Scarberry. I can recall a fellowship time after church when we went to Merle and Virgina's home and they had a potbelly stove (or something like that) in their enclosed outdoor room. Merle was a gracious, compassionate, gifted man. I still hear him reciting "The Apple Tree" recitation with Lord, I'm Coming Home. He died at 95 at home, "with his boots on". He lived well and I am grateful to have known him. Barb, I still recall us standing at Granny's grave and you coming to hug me. Thank you for being so faithful to my family and to Merle and Virgina. They were loved!
