Janet Elizabeth Mitchell Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1939 - 2013 Janet Elizabeth Mitchell, 74, of Peterstown, WV, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Dennis Haga. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park. She was born October 24, 1939 in Huntington and raised on Fudges Creek in Ona, WV. She is the daughter of the late Harry Eugene and Thelma Bowyer Markin. She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Andrew Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Rev. C. Wilburn Mitchell; one daughter, Joan Mitchell Jennings, of Peterstown, WV; two sons, Timothy Mitchell of Huntington and Mark W. (Lisa) Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL; several grandchildren, Danielle Brock, Amanda Brock, David Earnest, and Arin Mitchell; several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a special cousin-Patty Bowyer Hendricks of Dayton, OH. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Please accept my condolence. I have known Janet for most of my life. She was someone I always admired. We went to school together. I am so sorry I won't be able to come to the funeral home because we have company coming this evening. Please know you are in my prayers. This is a sweet picture of my longtime friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know you are comforted by knowing your mother/wife is in heaven. Just think of the great cloud of people who greeted her as she entered heavens gates. I also know its still very hard and emotional for you. Psalm 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? God understands your pain and will comfort you.
