Dear Herald family. I just found out about Mr. Herald’s passing and I am so sorry for your loss. I had him for gym from 1979-85 at Meadows. I always liked the way he would appear to be very serious only to give a big smile afterward. May God receive him into Heaven and console you all in your grief.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. My children had the pleasure of having him as a physical education teacher and I had the pleasure of working with him. He was a gentle giant with a smile that could light up a room.

Wade and I were neighbors in Barboursville. I remember when he moved in up on the hill from mine and we used to play outside alot together. He always had the best baseball card collection and we used to swap cards. His mom and dad cut hair in town and were always nice to me. As with most of my childhood friends as we grew older we grew apart and didn't stay in touch but I will always remember those days.

Robin, we are very sad to hear of Wade's passing. He was a great teacher to both my boys and a lot of others kids that are now adults. He will be fondly remembered for his booming voice and teddy bear personality.
