1943 - 2014
 Orland D. Sonny Woodall, 70, of West Hamlin, WV, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Sonny was born October 15, 1943 in Cabell County, a son of the late Ralph K. and Ida Slone Woodall. He was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the United States Navy, was retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers, a graduate of Huntington East High School, member of the American Legion Post #111, and a lifetime barber. He also worked at the Lincoln County Board of Education as a bus driver, the Tri River Transit Authority and was a manager at Boron Oil in Huntington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Austin and Ralph Kenneth Woodall; one sister, Polly Ann; his cherished mother-in-law, Dorothy McCoy and brother-in-law, Phil Tock. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Woodall; two daughters, Carla Nelson (Paul) and Kristee Lambert (Curtis); one son, John Rick Woodall (Jennifer); special sister-in-law, Barbetta Tock; five grandchildren, Tyler, Chad, Parker, Peyton and Makayla; and his very special buddy, Marshmellow. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion # 139, Milton. We have known Carla for years and our hearts are broken for her and her family at this time. He fought such a brave battle but now we know he is at peace. Love you, Carla Our condolences to the family for your loss.

Sonny was always so kind to me, as were Sharon, Carla and Ricky. Kristee and I were such good friends in high school and I great memories of being with her family. I'm praying for all of you. What an honor to have known such a good man.
